Vanity Options

Having some issues trying to decide on the vanity for the bathroom and en-suite - so far I have narrowed it down to 4...

OPTION 1: I like this for the En-Suite because it would match the Carrara marble tiles - Can't use this in the Main Bathroom because it won't match the Claw Foot Bath I have already purchased.

OPTION 2: This would match the Main Bathroom or En-Suite but don't LOVE the marble top (funny colour almost all white).

OPTION 3: Love this and the price tag (only $150 BARGAIN) but not sure about it's lack of storage.

OPTION 4: Sorry for the dodgy catalogue pic - This is a really beautiful piece and I literally have the last one left in Australia coming in for me however the marble top and basin is missing so will have to have that all cut/fitted a lot of hassle.

9 skips and counting...

I had such a crazy day today, Hudson and I went tile shopping in the morning, then we met with the stump guy at lunch, soon after lunch we had to meet with a "blocky" builders term for block layer (I am learning so much :-p), in the afternoon we met with a Plumber, then our concreter who then met with 2 more blockies.  I also heard that we are up to 9 skips, these aren't small skips either 10 cubic metre skips FULL (some so full they have to come back with a bigger truck!).  I blame the previous owner and his love for concrete! It is estimated that we need another 4 skips alone for the backyard - a large portion of which has been concreted - so at $450 a skip we are looking at about $6K alone on rubbish removal :-/ Boy what a day!!! Tomorrow I am heading to work and leaving J alone with Huddy and the million and one questions/decisions that I am sure will be fired his way in my absence...

On a lighter note, here's some images that inspired me today:

LOVE THIS!!! Hoping to create a similar dining to deck feel... note the amazing pressed metal ceilings!

How pretty is this Armoire painted to prettiest shade of pink!

Dream kitchen slipping further and further away with each skip drop off/pick up...

Cute fence and hedges

So pretty and colourful....

What a busy weekend....

We have had a crazy couple of days.  It was my birthday on Saturday and I was spoilt rotten all weekend long by my beautiful family and friends! The boys had fun jack hammering up all the tiles on the front and back decks (who tiles a deck???) and we had meetings with the stump guy and fence guy. So many decisions to be made at the moment it's all but doing my head in!!! Here's some pics of the deck before and after...

Some of the debris - the previous owner (who was a concreter) actually put rio in the concrete... so funny. The boys joked and said he had more rio in the concrete on the deck than on the driveway!!!

Is this our house?

It looks so different! Over the Ekka holiday the guys continued to work and managed to remove most of the front brick facade - the difference is amazing.  The house actually looks like a Queenslander again, and feels even more imposing and grand from the street. Here's some pics I snapped...

Going, Going, Gone...

Over the next two weeks the stump guys will be re-stumping the exterior of our house, it is very exciting to see the progress each day! They certainly don't muck around...

Kitchen Love

Love the island in this kitchen and the cabinets on the far left and right that are tall and built in
