A bit late this week with this post - life has been crazy to say the least at the moment! Here's what we have been up to...
Dad and Jeff finished of the huge hole in the living/dining room |
close up pre architrave going on... |
Boys also have been working on "arc-ing" the front door that was hacked to pieces from previous, lucky it was salvageable! |
picked up some free timber stairs in very good condition from one of our neighbors mates... |
...might get that butterfly staircase sooner than we thought :-) |
went to ikea and here there and everywhere searching for these screws - so annoying can't get them anywhere so might have to have them made :-/ |
finally finished painting the front deck |
and the front balustrade got installed... |
we went with a "round dowel cricket pitch" look |
close up pic |
Jeff and Dad also built the wall for the playroom |
and we managed to get this huge bookcase in - was very tricky - removing windows etc i will spare you the gory details! |
...and finally set up ours and huddy's bed! |
So Hudson scored the IKEA rug? Best of luck with the move. xx
ReplyDeleteYes Huddy has it for now... we will see how long that lasts ;-)
DeleteWonderful that you are moving in already. It is all looking fantastic, cannot wait to see the kitchen. What colour are you painting the exterior? mel x
ReplyDeleteThe exterior and interior white is the same colour - Bassinet. The blue/grey you see in the bathroom and our bedroom is Cliff Face I love this colour as it lends itself to both Blue and Grey... I can't wait to see your kitchen Mel x
DeleteGreat blog! Just discovered your blog through a random google search which lead me to "walk among the homes" blog.... Loving reading all your posts as we are planning a reno too with our two dogs and 11 month old and I am dreading how it is going to go with inquisitive crawling toddler around! Seems like your little guy is handling all your reno going-ons really well! Can i ask, did you use an architect to decide on your plans or did you and hubby come up with it? Any recommendations? Cheers, Lauren
